E-commerce major Flipkart has named Gunjan Bhartia as Senior Vice President, Business Finance, strengthening leadership across its logistics arm, eKart. In his new role, Bhartia will oversee business finance operations across all eKart verticals.
Flipkart said Bhartia will play a key role in enhancing financial planning, performance discipline, and strategic transformation as the company continues to build a resilient, future-ready supply chain for India’s growing digital commerce ecosystem.
Bhartia brings over 28 years of global finance experience spanning Asia and the Middle East. He has worked with high-growth technology-led organisations and held senior leadership roles at companies such as GE and South Korea-based e-commerce giant Coupang. His experience includes scaling large businesses, leading complex transformations, and managing multi-billion-dollar programmes within regulated, listed-company environments.
Welcoming the appointment, Ravi Iyer, Chief Financial Officer, Flipkart, said Bhartia’s expertise in transformation finance, capital discipline, and governance would significantly strengthen eKart’s financial foundations while supporting the group’s long-term value creation agenda.
Commenting on his new role, Bhartia said he was excited to join Flipkart and eKart at a pivotal stage of growth. He added that his focus would be on building robust financial systems and partnerships to drive innovation, operational efficiency, and scalable growth, with strong emphasis on predictability, controls, and long-term value creation.
