InMobi has acquired MobileAction, an AI-powered platform specialising in iOS app growth and analytics, as the Bengaluru- and San Francisco-based company looks to expand its global advertising business.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2013 and headquartered in San Francisco, MobileAction offers tools for Apple Ads and App Store Optimisation. Its platform helps app developers and marketers improve app visibility and user acquisition. The company’s clients include global brands such as Google, Meta, Doordash, Square, Zalando, Playtika and Priceline.

The acquisition is expected to strengthen InMobi’s advertising capabilities within the iOS ecosystem. By combining MobileAction’s expertise in app discovery and performance marketing with InMobi’s existing advertising infrastructure and its consumer commerce platform, Glance, the company aims to enhance its data-driven marketing offerings.

MobileAction’s platform is supported by extensive datasets, including more than 90 million creatives, 6 million keywords, 5 million apps, 100,000 publishers, and 500,000 advertisers. InMobi said access to this data will help brands improve user targeting and campaign optimisation using AI-driven tools.

Following the acquisition, MobileAction will continue to operate independently, while its teams across the United States, Europe and Turkey will join the InMobi Group. The company also plans to expand MobileAction’s products and market presence across the US, Asia-Pacific and Middle East and North Africa regions.

The move follows InMobi’s USD 350 million funding round in December 2025 and a reported buyback of a 25-30% stake from SoftBank, indicating continued efforts to strengthen its position in the digital advertising market.
