Kaapi Machines, India’s first and leading coffee equipment and services provider, secured an equity infusion of INR 50 crore from Sedna HoReCa (“Sedna”), a PE-backed comprehensive B2B HoReCa solutions provider, while also entering into a strategic partnership.
This partnership will help Kaapi’s product portfolio strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and improve its technology stack, warehousing and service infrastructure. In addition, it will pursue select new opportunities in adjacent product categories for its core customer base, also leveraging Sedna’s capabilities.
Kaapi was founded in 2007 by Abhinav Mathur, MD & CEO, He’s an alumnus from XLRI with a career spanning brands like Philips, Wipro Consumer Care and Stanley Black & Decker; in partnership with Nils Erichsen (Director), a veteran of the global coffee industry who started Hemro Group and was a founding director of Specialty Coffee Association, world’s leading body for coffee competence.
Kaapi aims to cross 150 cr in revenue this FY and will pursue broader business expansion over the next 2-3 years. “We are excited to partner with the Sedna team as we set forth on our new growth trajectory at Kaapi Machines.
