Kazam Partners with HPCL to Make EV Charging Easier

EV energy solutions provider Kazam has announced a partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to expand electric vehicle (EV) charging access across India. Under this collaboration, over 5,350 HPCL EV chargers have been integrated into the Kazam mobile app through an OCPI-powered platform.

The network includes 3,043 DC fast chargers located in major cities, along highways, and at key retail locations. Kazam app users can now locate HPCL charging stations, check real-time availability, and navigate to charging points seamlessly.

HPCL, which operates over 24,000 fuel retail outlets nationwide, has been expanding its EV charging infrastructure as part of the government’s PM eDrive scheme, aimed at promoting sustainable transportation and accelerating EV adoption.

Paras Shah, Chief Operating Officer at Kazam, said, “The OCPI platform ensures seamless aggregation and real-time visibility of charging stations. This partnership will strengthen India’s public EV charging ecosystem.”

Kazam platform also offers interoperability across multiple charging protocols and backend monitoring capabilities for charge point operators and e-mobility service providers. The infrastructure is designed to support network expansion and reliable operations in the future.

This partnership aligns with India’s PM eDrive initiative, which aims to promote EV adoption and reduce emissions in the transportation sector.
