Lemon Tree Hotels has strengthened its presence in southern India with the signing of a Hotel Operation Agreement for a new property in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. The upcoming hotel will be operated by Carnation Hotels Private Limited a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited and will be branded as Lemon Tree Suites, subject to the execution of a licence agreement.
Situated in Tirupati one of the country’s most prominent pilgrimage destinations the hotel is set against the scenic backdrop of the Eastern Ghats. The city is globally renowned for the Sri Venkateswara Temple and attracts millions of devotees annually, while also offering a blend of spiritual heritage, natural beauty and steadily growing tourism infrastructure.
The proposed Lemon Tree Suites, Tirupati will feature 228 rooms and suites, along with a restaurant, banquet and meeting facilities. Guests will also have access to recreational amenities including a swimming pool and a spa, catering to both pilgrims and leisure travellers.
The property enjoys strong connectivity, located approximately 10 km from Tirupati International Airport and about 6.3 km from Tirupati Railway Station with easy access via public and private transport.
Commenting on the development, Vilas Pawar, CEO Managed & Franchise Business, Lemon Tree Hotels, said the signing marks another step in expanding the group’s portfolio in key pilgrimage and tourism hubs. He added that Andhra Pradesh’s cultural richness, vibrant tourism ecosystem and improving hotel infrastructure continue to make it an attractive destination for travellers. With this addition, Lemon Tree Hotels will have six operational hotels and three more under development across the state.
