Montra Electric has rolled out the 1,000th unit of its EVIATOR electric small commercial vehicle (eSCV) from its Ponneri manufacturing facility in Chennai, marking a significant milestone in the company’s efforts to expand electric cargo mobility in India.
According to the company, the milestone comes at a time when demand for electric commercial vehicles is steadily rising across e-commerce, FMCG, and last-mile delivery sectors. Montra Electric recently strengthened its presence in the growing eSCV segment by expanding the EVIATOR portfolio with the launch of the EVIATOR 350 (32 kWh) and EVIATOR 350L+ (50 kWh) variants.
Designed for urban logistics applications, the EVIATOR offers a payload capacity of 1.7 tonnes along with a 10.3-foot loading deck, enabling efficient transportation of high-volume cargo within city routes. The vehicle is powered by a liquid-cooled Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery and delivers a real-world driving range of over 170 km. It also supports CCS2 DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge up to 80% in nearly 60 minutes. The vehicle has a top speed of 80 kmph.

With a starting introductory ex-showroom price of ₹14.58 lakh, the EVIATOR is positioned as a technology-driven and scalable solution for businesses transitioning towards electric fleets.
