Musashi India Private Limited and Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions Limited have signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) for the supply of electric powertrain systems, marking a strategic collaboration for upcoming electric two-wheeler platforms based in Pune.
Under the agreement, Musashi India will supply a side-mounted electric axle integrating a 4.7 kW interior permanent magnet motor, gearbox, and controller into a single unit. The company claims this integrated system offers improved range, higher durability, and lower maintenance compared to conventional center and hub-mounted drive systems, while also enabling additional luggage space.
Pilot batch deliveries are scheduled to begin in December 2026, with mass production planned at Musashi’s existing Delta facility in Bengaluru. Both companies described the partnership as a long-term strategic alliance, with Kinetic Green expected to adopt Musashi’s future technological advancements for its upcoming vehicle platforms.
