This app is an AI-based career awareness guidance app. It will be beneficial for students in grades 9 to 12, as well as for teachers, parents and counselors.
Developed by the Ministry of Education and NCERT-PSSCIVE, the app provides personalized career advice based on students' interests, abilities and skills. It will also provide students with over 1,000 career options.
The My Career Advisor App Will Guide Students And Parents
In today's technological era, AI has made life much easier. People in every field, including students, are turning to AI for solutions ranging from small to large. In this context, the Ministry of Education has also leveraged AI to simplify education for children. The Ministry of Education has launched a dedicated career guidance app that will guide students and parents in choosing the right career options.
The My Career Advisor App was officially launched during the All India Conference held to mark the 5th anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This app will not only provide students with AI-enabled career options but will also provide them with qualified reports and detailed preparation guides related to other subjects, thereby instilling confidence in them.
NCERT stated that My Career Advisor is a one-stop career guidance and awareness platform for students, teachers, parents and counselors. It makes career exploration simple, interactive and accessible to all.
What Are The Features Of The My Career Advisor App
This app will provide AI-powered career suggestions tailored to students' interests and abilities, guide school students on career options, courses and institutions and provide free information and suggestions to teachers and parents.
Furthermore, according to the Ministry of Education "In line with the vision of NEP 2020, the My Career Advisor App empowers students to make informed decisions about their academic and professional choices."
The Ministry states that this app will also help parents shape their children's aspirations. Students can also create their profiles, select preferred career options and share their self-review reports, matched roles and favorites with parents, teachers and counselors.
The app also serves as a valuable resource for teachers, school counsellors and career counsellors to effectively support students by preparing them for the future, increasing awareness and planning in line with the National Education Policy-2020.
