electric motorcycle manufacturer Oben Electric has opened its 50th showroom and service center in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, marking a major milestone in its expansion journey. With this launch, the company’s footprint now spans 15 states and 37 cities across the country.
Recently, Oben Electric expanded into cities including Guntur (Andhra Pradesh), Ranchi (Jharkhand), Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh), Aligarh and Unnao (Uttar Pradesh), and Palakkad (Kerala). The expansion comes on the back of rising customer demand for its flagship commuter bikes – the Rorr EZ and the newly launched Rorr EZ Sigma.
The Rorr EZ Sigma offers improved performance, technology, and practicality compared to its predecessor, making it a key part of the company’s product portfolio.
Founded in August 2020, Oben Electric credits its rapid retail growth to rising EV adoption and a strong focus on in-house R&D. The company is one of the few Indian EV manufacturers with full vertical integration, producing critical components such as LFP batteries, electric motors, chargers, and vehicle control units in-house, allowing products to be optimized for Indian road conditions and climate.
Oben Electric’s Co-founder and CEO Madhumita Agrawal said, “The launch of our 50th dealership reflects our ongoing efforts to strengthen access to electric mobility in India. Andhra Pradesh has always supported green transportation initiatives, and our presence in Visakhapatnam will further contribute to that momentum.”
Each showroom is co-located with a service center, ensuring integrated sales and after-sales support. The company aims to expand its retail and service network to over 150 locations by the end of the current financial year.
