Focus on Education Aligned with Industry Needs

Scaler Academy was founded in 2019 by IIIT Hyderabad alumni Anshuman Singh and Abhimanyu Saxena. The platform aims to bridge the gap between traditional tech education and the actual needs of the industry. For this, its curriculum includes subjects such as Software Development, Data Science, Machine Learning, System Design, Coding Practice, Cloud Infrastructure and AI Integration.

The platform provides industry expert guidance along with project-based learning. The objective is to prepare students and working professionals not just with theoretical knowledge, but also to understand and solve real-world technical problems.

Operating Revenue Stood at ₹363 Crore in FY2024-25

In terms of financial performance, Scaler Academy recorded an operating revenue of ₹363 crore in FY2024-25. This was around 5 percent lower than the ₹384 crore recorded in FY2023-24. Despite this, the company continues to focus on strengthening its education ecosystem for the upskilling and career development of tech professionals.

Scaler Academy’s model is specifically designed for working tech professionals. Learners are provided with an industry-relevant curriculum, live classes, mock interviews, career guidance and personalised mentorship.

Mentorship from More Than 1,000 Industry Experts

According to Scaler Academy, more than 1,000 industry experts are part of its teaching and mentorship network. These include professionals associated with leading technology companies such as Meta, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Directi, and others. Learners receive guidance through individual mentorship and group discussions based on their needs and learning pace.

According to the platform, learners spend an average of 3 to 5 hours every day on learning and upskilling activities. As part of career preparation, they also receive support for interview preparation, technical skill development and dealing with career-related challenges.

AI and Emerging Technologies Added to the Curriculum

Considering the rapidly changing technology landscape, Scaler Academy has also incorporated Artificial Intelligence and other emerging technologies into its learning framework. The company believes that in the coming years, coding skills alone will not be sufficient for tech professionals; an understanding of capabilities such as AI, System Design, Data, and Cloud will also be essential.

In this direction, Scaler Academy’s curriculum focuses on connecting technical skills with industry requirements. The company aims to prepare professionals who can continuously update their skills in line with rapidly changing technology.

Founders’ Experience in the Tech Industry

Scaler Academy Co-Founder Anshuman Singh worked as a Technical Team Lead at the US-based Facebook office before starting the company. He worked on projects related to Facebook Chats, Messages and Messenger and later also played a role in Facebook’s early international operations in London. He has been active in competitive programming and has been an ACM ICPC World Finalist twice.

Meanwhile, Co-Founder Abhimanyu Saxena led the Front-End Engineering team at New York-based retail marketplace Fab.com before joining Scaler Academy. During his engineering career, he also co-founded Daksh Home Automation System.

Target to Build 1 Million Tech Professionals

According to Scaler Academy, its long-term mission is to build more than 1 million World-Class Tech Professionals. The company claims that within the first year of its operations, it had helped more than 4,000 graduates upskill, while more than 600 organisations were connected to its tech talent recruitment ecosystem.

Scaler Academy will continue to focus on strengthening tech education through industry-relevant curriculum, AI and emerging technologies, expert mentorship and career-oriented learning.
