Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has partnered with Samagra Shikshana Karnataka to strengthen vocational education in the automobile sector at the school level. Under this initiative, training programs will be implemented in eight government schools, including Kudur, Kanakapura, Peenya, Bagepalli, Byadagi, Harapanahalli, Turvihal, and Haliyal, benefiting around 800 students.
As part of the program, Toyota Kirloskar Motor will set up automobile skill laboratories in participating schools and conduct a Train-the-Trainer initiative for faculty members. This program will familiarize teachers with Toyota’s manufacturing practices and learning methodologies.
The program aims to provide students with hands-on industry experience while emphasizing discipline, safety practices, and professional values. Students will also learn automobile technology, workplace ethics, health and hygiene practices, and sustainability principles.
The initiative aligns with national programs such as the Skill India Mission and Viksit Bharat 2047, supporting India’s long-term development goals. Since its establishment in 2001, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has been actively involved in CSR activities across education, environmental conservation, road safety, skill development, healthcare, and disaster management.
This program represents a significant step toward preparing students for future industries and enhancing their vocational skills, enabling them to contribute effectively to India’s growing automobile sector.
