Tata Power and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM) have recorded more than 70,000 charging sessions across 10 co-branded Tata Power x TATA.ev Mega Charger Hubs in India. According to the companies, these hubs have completed more than 85,000 charging hours and supported over 7.5 million electric kilometres.
The network spans Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh and comprises 25 fast chargers and 56 charging guns, with a combined capacity of 2.7MW. Individual hubs have capacities ranging from 180kW to 600kW, allowing multiple electric vehicles to charge simultaneously.
The 10 mega charger hubs have been established along key intercity corridors and in cities such as Mumbai and Hyderabad. The network includes four hubs along the Yamuna Expressway between Greater Noida and Agra, three on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada corridor, one on the Bengaluru-Tirupati route and another on the Pune-Bengaluru corridor. It also includes intra-city charging hubs in Mumbai and Hyderabad.
The largest facility in the network is The Leela Mega Charger near Terminal 2 of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai. It features 16 charging guns, including six 60kW chargers and two 120kW fast chargers, with a total capacity of 600kW. The facility can charge up to 16 EVs simultaneously and is designed to serve private EVs, taxis, ride-hailing fleets and other high-frequency users.
The 10 hubs are part of Tata Power wider EV charging ecosystem, which includes more than 6,700 public and captive charging points, over 2.5 lakh home chargers and more than 1,200 bus charging points across over 690 cities and towns. The company aims to expand this network to 10,000 public charging points and 7.5 lakh home chargers by 2030. Several mega charging hubs can be accessed through the Tata Power EZ Charge app.
