Tranzit has been conceived as a space where cultures collide, energies converge and every moment pulses with life. Now as it prepares to open its doors, Tranzit is ready to welcome guests for both everyday dining and celebrations, offering a venue that transforms with every experience.
Spread across two floors with collapsible windows that dissolve the boundary between indoors and out, plus an outdoor terrace that glows under evening lights, Tranzit promises something rare in Lutyens’ Delhi.
Tranzit’s USP is that it “morphes as you move in”, shifting from a naturally lit expansive daytime space to an atmospheric, high-energy night hub. It brings together global flavours a bar inspired by the world’s taverns and streets an intuitive service that is “present where it matters, invisible where it doesn’t” and an ambiance where “everything meets here always moving, always shifting, always alive” shared the duo. With a seating capacity of 98 covers and operating hours from 12 noon to 1 a.m.
The culinary experience at Tranzit will be where Chef Gurmehar Sethi’s philosophy of discovery comes alive. His approach draws from wandering through spice-laden lanes in Asia, tasting late-night bites in Europe and chasing aromas from street corners to taverns around the world. Every dish act as a passport of flavour.
The bar programme led by Gagan Sharma and his company Indulge is one of the country’s most innovative. Its 12-piece menu draws from global modes of transit sea, air, train and road with each drink carrying a story a quirky fact or a touch of nostalgia.
On the first floor a low seated Omakase Bar will allow guests to sit by the counter and watch every cocktail being crafted tableside a touch of theatre designed to photograph beautifully while tasting even better.
