Maya Tata has joined Trent to lead the e-commerce marketing function for Westside, the company's flagship fashion and lifestyle brand, marking a significant move in the retailer's efforts to strengthen its omnichannel capabilities. In her new role, she will spearhead Westside's online marketing initiatives following her departure from Tata Digital, supporting the brand's continued digital and international expansion.

The 37-year-old began her career within the Tata Group under the mentorship of Ratan Tata before moving to Tata Capital's Tata Opportunities Fund. She later joined Tata Digital, where she gained experience in the group's digital commerce ecosystem. At Westside, Maya Tata is expected to drive the brand's digital retail strategy and deepen customer engagement, aligning with Trent's vision of delivering a seamless integration of online and offline shopping experiences.

Westside continues to be Trent's largest business, contributing nearly 40 percent of the company's overall revenue. The retailer has been investing in its omnichannel infrastructure by integrating its extensive store network with digital commerce while simultaneously expanding its international presence. Earlier this year, Westside entered the UAE, marking its debut in an overseas market as part of Trent's broader global growth strategy.

Looking ahead, Trent plans to open around 50 new Westside stores annually after launching 52 outlets in FY2026. During the financial year, the company reported revenue of nearly Rs 19,700 crore and expanded its retail footprint to 1,286 stores across 321 cities through brands including Westside, Zudio, and Star Bazaar.

Noel N. Tata, Chairman of Trent, said, “The retailer aims to build Indian brands with global appeal while creating an international business that complements India's export ambitions. He added that Westside's launch in the UAE marks the beginning of its international expansion, with digital commerce expected to play a key role in supporting the brand's future growth across global markets.”
