Kolkata-based religion-tech platform Utsav has raised INR 36 crore in a Series A round led by Atomic Capital with existing investors India Quotient and Equanimity Investments also participating. The funding will be used to expand Utsav’s temple network, strengthen its technology and fulfillment infrastructure, improve personalisation and expand its team and operations.
Utsav said its revenue has grown eightfold since its INR 6.35 crore funding round in February 2025. The platform currently fulfills around 2.5 lakh orders per month. Founded by Sourajit Basu, Ankita De and Prajata Samanta, Utsav enables devotees to book temple pujas, access prasad, consult verified priests and participate in rituals remotely.
The platform works with temple priests, scholars and acharyas to facilitate rituals and offerings. It also serves devotees in the Indian diaspora, allowing them to book rituals at temples across India.
The company plans to expand its temple network and devotional offerings, improve discovery and personalisation and strengthen logistics and fulfilment. It will also expand its services for the Indian diaspora over the next 12-24 months.
Apoorv Gautam, Partner at Atomic Capital, said, “What convinced us was execution: this team has built real scale capital-efficiently and customers keep coming back.”
Utsav has raised INR 36 crore in total capital to date and is backed by 100X.VC, India Quotient, Equanimity Ventures and Atomic Capital, along with angel investors.
