Woodside Inn Opens Bengaluru Outpost in Indiranagar with 14 Beers on Tap
Mumbai-based pub brand Woodside Inn has entered Bengaluru with the launch of a new gastropub in Indiranagar, marking its debut in India’s most established pub market.

Mumbai-based pub brand Woodside Inn has expanded its footprint to Bengaluru with the opening of a new gastropub in Indiranagar, marking its entry into what is widely regarded as India’s most mature pub market. The new outlet positions itself as a neighbourhood-led space, aligning with Bengaluru’s long-standing culture of casual drinking, familiar food, and relaxed social settings.

The Indiranagar location carries forward Woodside Inn’s core offering of beer-led service, classic cocktails, and comfort-driven food, while adapting to local preferences. The venue features 14 beers on tap, a mix of craft and mainstream labels, alongside a concise cocktail programme built around classic formats. The intent, according to the brand, is not to replicate its Mumbai identity but to integrate into Bengaluru’s existing pub ecosystem.

Pankil Shah, Co-Founder,  said, “Bengaluru is the OG pub capital of India. We’re not here to lead the community, just to be part of it.” This approach is reflected in the brand’s emphasis on familiarity, consistency, and long-term relevance rather than trend-driven positioning.

Spread across 2,800 sq. ft. over two levels with a balcony, the space is designed for extended visits and repeat customers. Interiors feature light wood finishes, communal seating, and a hand-laid interlocking floor. Large arched windows overlook a rain tree, reinforcing the venue’s neighbourhood orientation. The interiors also include 20 framed references to legacy Bengaluru pubs such as The Pub, Nasa, Purple Haze, and Black Cadillac, acknowledging the city’s long-standing bar culture. Music programming, curated by Co-Founder Sumit Gambhir, spans pop, disco, and rock, selected to support conversation without dominating the space.

A key addition at the Bengaluru outlet is a charcoal-fired live grill, expanding the kitchen’s capabilities. The grill introduces dishes such as Grilled Harissa Chicken Skewers and Citrus Paprika Chicken, prepared over live embers to add depth and consistency to the menu’s protein offerings.

Beer remains central to the outlet’s strategy. The 14-tap lineup includes selections from Bengaluru breweries Toit, Geist, Red Rhino, and Mannheim, along with established international and domestic brands like Kingfisher and Heineken. The mix reflects the city’s preference for locally brewed lagers, stouts, and seasonal styles.

The bar programme also includes Woodside Inn’s freezer-door cocktails, a format built around pre-batched classic drinks stored and served at minus five degrees Celsius to maintain temperature and balance without dilution. The lineup includes the Martini, Negroni, Vesper, and Old Fashioned, along with house variations such as Watermelon and Kaffir Lime Fizz, Fresh Grape and Mandarin Twist, Coconut Lemongrass Margarita, and Tokyo Twist whisky highball.

Sumit Gambhir,  Co-Founder, said, “In true Woodside Inn fashion, the menu celebrates comfort food that’s refined without losing its soul. Expect signature burgers, robust bar plates, and wholesome mains that speak the language of pub fare, done right.” The menu spans bar snacks, small plates, mains, and desserts, designed to support both casual drinking and full-meal occasions.

Signature offerings include Buttermilk Fried Chicken Tenders, Crispy Fried Potato Skins with Wasabi Mayo, and Twice-Whipped Ricotta with Hot Honey. Larger plates range from Slow-Roasted Belgian Pork Belly Bites and thin-crust pizzas to burgers such as the Double Cheddar Tenderloin Burger. Main course options include Trio Mushroom Risotto, Steak Frites, and Signature Grilled Rawas with Lemon Caper Beurre Blanc, followed by desserts like Flourless Belgian Chocolate Torte.

The Bengaluru outlet will also host Woodside Inn’s Beer and Burger Festival, one of the brand’s longest-running formats, extending a proven food-and-beverage pairing into a new market. The launch reflects a measured expansion strategy focused on operational familiarity, local sourcing, and brand longevity in a competitive urban hospitality landscape.
