Parvinn Dabass bio Renowned Actor, Director and Sports Enthusiast, Parvinn Dabass , with movies such as Monsoon Wedding, Khosla Ka Ghosla, My Name is Khan, State of Siege, Sharmajee Kee Beti and OTT shows Hostages,Made in Heaven and Andhera …He belongs to a village in Delhi called Kanjhawla, though he was just three when the family moved to Toronto, Canada where he had his upbringing for 10 years before the family moved back to India and he finished his schooling in Modern School, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi and attended college at Hansraj College, New Delhi before moving to New York to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts after which he came back to Delhi to start a theatre company called ‘Urban Theatre Society’ where he did 6 plays in Delhi which he both directed and starred in. He then moved to Mumbai to start his acting career and is now working to evolutionalise the concepts of sports such as MMA (www.mmaindia.com) and Panja in India. After starting the Combat Sports podcast story in India with the MMA India Show, he has now reintroduced Panja to India via the Pro Panja League, the World’s biggest Arm Wrestling Tournament which started with various tournaments from 2020 taking place at diverse locations such as Thyagraj Stadium, Gateway of India, Gwalior Fort and the Majestic Pride casino boat in Goa amongst many other events at diverse locations while also contending with the Covid lock downs. The first full fledged Pro Panja League took place in July-Aug 2023 and was broadcast live on Sony Sports with a viewership of 32 million unique viewers bringing the Pro Panja League near the pinnacle of the non cricket Sporting World. Parvinn is created a full calendar year schedule for Pro Panja with events happening all over India almost every month with 3 events took place within December 2024 itself in the cities of Gorakhpur, Aizawl and Mumbai…literally and figuratively making it ‘Bharat Ka Khel’. The second season of Pro Panja League took place in Gwalior, MP in August 2025 and was a huge success. He is not working on Khosla Ka Ghosla part 2, a huge Hindi film shot in Hyderabad Film City and working towards hosting the World ArmWrestling Championships 2026 in India and the 3rd season of Pro Panja League. As President of the People’s Armwrestling Federation India, Vice-President of the Asian Armwrestling Federation, and Co-Founder of the Pro Panja League, Preeti has been instrumental in putting Indian armwrestling on the global sporting map. Her leadership and strategic vision were recently recognized when she was honoured with the Sports Business Leader of the Year (Female) Award at the prestigious CII Sports Business Awards 2025, one of the country’s most respected recognitions of excellence in sports business as well as the Her circle by Reliance industries Bizrupters ICON award
