SK Agarwal joined SBICAPs in March 2006 and he currently heads the Infra Group, dealing with Transport, Oil & Gas, Telecom and other manufacturing sector divisions in SBICAPs in North India. In addition, he is heading the Corporate Debt Restructuring division. He has the experience of more than 25 years.

After completing his B.Tech in Chemical Technology, he worked with Asian Paints for one and a half years in Industrial Sales. As an Industrial Field officer he worked with Allahabad Bank for three and a half years. He also worked with IDBI for 13 years.

In IDBI, Agarwal was DGM, Project Appraisal Department. He has widespread experience in Corporate Finance as he has handled Stressed Assets. He was also a part of a Core Strategic Group of IDBI for a year with specific tasks:

• Conversion of IDBI into a commercial banking entity;
• Formation of Stresses Assets Stabilisation Fund (SASF);
• Merger of IDBI Bank with IDBI Ltd.
