Mr. Aditya Sharma
"For India to attain healthcare parity, innovations will play a critical role. But they will have to be created for an Indian audience keeping in mind Indian challenges. Solutions from other countries may not work. Since precedence is likely to have limited impact, for such innovations to work in a sustained manner, the need of the hour is for passionate promoters who will need to marry out of the box thinking with ground reality and perseverance."
Mr. Aditya is a Director in Lok Capital and has been with the firm for close to three years. He works closely with the portfolio companies and is part of the team that drives the healthcare mandate at Lok. Launched in 2002, Lok Capital is a venture capital firm dedicated to making long-term equity investments in social enterprises.
Prior to Lok, Aditya has worked with Everstone Capital Advisors and the Future Group. He completed his B.Com from St Xaviers and holds an MBA from Lancaster University Management School. Having started as a microfinance investor, Lok Capital has since diversified into social infrastructure (healthcare & agriculture) and income enhancement (livelihood) while deepening its influence in financial inclusion. Lok Capital manages two funds with ~US$ 90 million under management.
