Lemon Tree Hotels Limited, India’s fastest-growing mid-scale and premium hotel chain, has further strengthened its national footprint with two new developments—signing a new property in Gandhidham, Gujarat, and launching its second hotel in Ranchi, Jharkhand. These additions reflect the group’s strategic growth across India’s diverse regions, reinforcing its presence from the country’s industrial west to its vibrant eastern heartland.
New Signing: Lemon Tree Hotel, Gandhidham
Located in Kutch district, Gandhidham is the largest and most populous city in the region, with close proximity to Kandla Port, one of India’s major commercial hubs. Recognised for its organised infrastructure and growing role in trade and manufacturing, the city presents a strong market for business and transit accommodation.
The newly signed Lemon Tree Hotel, Gandhidham will feature 54 well-appointed rooms, a restaurant and banquet hall and a swimming pool and spa for leisure and wellness.
The hotel is situated approximately 13 km from Kandla Airport and 12 km from Gandhidham Railway Station, offering convenient access for domestic travellers. This property will be operated by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary and the hotel management arm of Lemon Tree Hotels.
"With this signing, we are expanding our business and leisure portfolio in Gujarat, a key market where we currently have nine operational and 19 upcoming properties,” said Vilas Pawar, CEO – Managed & Franchise Business, Lemon Tree Hotels. “Our presence across cities of all tiers allows us to deliver our signature experience of refreshing, comfortable stays at value-driven prices.”
New Launch: Lemon Tree Hotel, Ranchi
In the east, Lemon Tree has launched its second property in Jharkhand, located in Ranchi, the state capital. Known as the “City of Waterfalls”, Ranchi is a rapidly growing hub for business, education, and healthcare. The city’s rich natural surroundings and expanding urban infrastructure make it a strong destination for both corporate and leisure travellers.
The Lemon Tree Hotel, Ranchi is a franchised property and features 45 rooms and suites, Citrus Café, a multi-cuisine restaurant, Slounge, a hip recreation bar, A fully equipped fitness centre and a swimming pool.
This opening follows Lemon Tree’s first venture in the state at Jamshedpur and is part of the brand’s broader focus on tier-II and tier-III cities that are increasingly attracting domestic tourism and corporate movement.
"Ranchi is emerging as one of India’s preferred destinations, drawing both leisure seekers and business travellers,” said Vishvapreet Singh Cheema, President, Lemon Tree Hotels. “We’re excited to introduce our unique blend of comfort, warmth, and value to this vibrant city and strengthen our footprint in Jharkhand.”
Strategic Growth Across India
Lemon Tree Hotels continues its aggressive expansion across India with a focus on both owned and managed properties under various models including franchising. The brand’s network spans across metros, industrial corridors, pilgrimage destinations, and emerging cities—enabling it to cater to a diverse guest profile.
From Gandhidham’s port-driven economy in the west to Ranchi’s evolving commercial and cultural landscape in the east, Lemon Tree’s latest ventures underline its mission to bring modern, value-driven hospitality to every corner of the country.
