The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) has appointed Sriram Viji, Managing Director of Brakes India Pvt. Ltd., as its new President for the 2026-27 term. Meanwhile, Anjali Singh, Executive Chairperson of ANAND Group and Gabriel India, has been appointed President-Designate.
Welcoming the new leadership, ACMA Director General Vinnie Mehta said that the extensive industry experience and strategic vision of Sriram Viji and Anjali Singh will be important for the automotive component sector. He said their leadership will help ACMA navigate geopolitical uncertainties and the rapidly evolving mobility landscape.
According to Mehta, ACMA will focus on strengthening its engagement with the Government and industry stakeholders, diversifying supply chains, improving access to critical raw materials and enhancing India’s competitiveness in global markets.
ACMA new President Sriram Viji said it is an honour to lead the organisation at a time when India is strengthening its position as a trusted partner in global automotive value chains.
He said ACMA priorities will include strengthening domestic capabilities and accelerating investments in advanced technologies, research and development (R&D), and innovation. The association will also focus on integrating sustainability across the automotive component industry.
Viji said the emergence of electric, connected and new-energy mobility is creating new opportunities for the industry. He added that the sector needs to move beyond simply adapting to change and instead play a role in shaping the future of mobility.
He said ACMA will work with its members to position India as a global hub for high-value manufacturing and next-generation mobility solutions.
