Ampere Launches Updated Nexus EX+ Electric Scooter
The Nexus EX+ gets a 5kW motor, Intellipack connected technology and an IP65-rated water-resistant charger, with prices starting at 1,29,999.

Ampere has launched the updated version of its Nexus electric scooter, called the Nexus EX+. The scooter is priced at ₹1,29,999 for the standard variant, while the Intellipack-equipped variant is priced at ₹1,35,999. Both variants are available in Carbon Knight and Steel Grey colour options and will be sold through Ampere’s dealership network across India.

The Nexus EX+ is powered by a 5kW motor that produces 202Nm of peak wheel torque. According to the company, the electric scooter can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in 4.5 seconds. The motor has been designed to offer improved pickup and gradeability, with better performance claimed on flyovers, hilly roads and during pillion riding or load-bearing conditions. The scooter also comes with an IP65-rated water-resistant charger.

The Intellipack variant offers more than 30 connected features through Ampere’s Connect App. These include real-time charging status, live tracking, geo-fencing, Find My Scooter, turn-by-turn navigation and remote vehicle diagnostics. Other features include trip reports, ride statistics, charging history, energy insights, battery health score and service booking.

The Nexus EX+ uses LFP battery technology, which Ampere says has a designed life of up to 2,00,000 km. The battery comes with a warranty of five years or 75,000 km, whichever comes first. Vikas Singh, Managing Director, Greaves Electric Mobility, said the Nexus EX+ combines Intellipack connectivity, a more powerful motor and an IP65-rated charger. He added that the motor has been developed to deliver better performance during flyovers, on hilly roads, with a pillion and under load-bearing conditions.

With the Nexus EX+, Ampere is focusing on performance, connected technology and durability in the electric two-wheeler segment. The availability of two variants gives customers the option to choose between the standard version and the more connected Intellipack variant. The company expects the new model to further strengthen its presence in India’s electric two-wheeler market.
