EV charging infrastructure company Bolt.Earth has announced that its Blaze DC 3kW Dual Gun Charger has received certification from the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). The certification validates the charger for use with electric two- and three-wheelers in India and confirms its compliance with required safety and performance standards.
According to the company, the Blaze DC 3kW Dual Gun is the world’s first universal fast charger for two- and three-wheelers to meet ARAI safety and performance standards. The charger can provide up to 40 km of driving range in 15 minutes. It supports Type 6 and Type 7 connectors, enabling compatibility with electric vehicles from brands including Ather, Ola, Ultraviolette and Simple Energy.
Commenting on the certification, Mohit Yadav, Founder, Bolt.Earth, said the ARAI certification of the Blaze DC 3kW Dual Gun is an important milestone for the company. He added that the certification makes charging not only universal but also certified safe, while reflecting Bolt.Earth’s focus on building reliable and intelligent EV charging infrastructure.
The Blaze DC 3kW Dual Gun Charger comes with Wi-Fi and 4G connectivity and supports the OCPP 1.6J protocol. It also features over-the-air (OTA) updates and remote monitoring capabilities, allowing operators to manage and monitor the charger’s performance remotely.
For enhanced safety, the charger is equipped with features such as short-circuit prevention and emergency shutdown. Bolt.Earth said that the combination of universal connector compatibility, fast charging and smart connectivity is aimed at making EV charging more convenient and reliable for EV users, fleet operators and commercial partners.
