China and EU Hold Talks on Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Trade
China and the European Union have held intensive talks on hybrid and electric vehicle trade, agreeing to ensure fair export quotas and avoid discriminatory measures against Chinese companies.

China and the European Union (EU) have held intensive consultations on trade in hybrid and electric vehicles (EVs), along with efforts to balance economic and trade concerns. China's Ministry of Commerce shared the information on Monday.

According to the ministry, both sides agreed that China export quota for hybrid vehicles would not be lower than the quotas allocated to other import sources. They also agreed that EU measures should not specifically target Chinese products or discriminate against Chinese companies.

The two sides further agreed to increase the 2025 hybrid vehicle export figure to ensure more opportunities and support stable growth for Chinese enterprises, the ministry said in its statement.

The discussions are part of ongoing efforts by China and the EU to address vehicle trade-related issues while balancing their respective economic and trade concerns.
