The Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler maker has partnered with Vishal Group to launch its flagship River Indie scooter in Kathmandu and plans to expand across key cities in Nepal.
Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer River Mobility has entered Nepal, opening its first international retail and service outlet in Naxal, Kathmandu, in partnership with Vishal Group. With this expansion, the company aims to strengthen its presence beyond the Indian market.
The new outlet will offer the company's flagship electric scooter, the River Indie, along with accessories and merchandise. River Mobility has also established a dedicated service centre to provide after-sales support to customers in Nepal.
The company plans to expand beyond Kathmandu and establish a retail and service network across key cities in Nepal. The expansion is aimed at improving customer access to its electric scooters and ensuring the availability of after-sales services in the market.
River Mobility currently operates more than 90 stores across India, with a presence in Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Delhi-NCR, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, among other regions. The company aims to expand its domestic retail network to more than 400 stores by March 2028, covering both existing and new markets.
The River Indie electric scooter is priced at NPR 3,70,000 (ex-showroom, Kathmandu). Customers can book the scooter and take test rides at the newly opened outlet. With its entry into Nepal, River Mobility is looking to expand its international footprint and grow its electric two-wheeler business.
