Emergent Raises $130 Million Series C at $1.5 Billion Valuation, Achieves Unicorn Status
AI software creation platform reaches unicorn status within a year of launch after users build over 12 million applications worldwide.

AI software creation platform Emergent has raised $130 million in a Series C funding round, taking its valuation to $1.5 billion and making it a unicorn just one year after its public launch.

The round was led by Creaegis with MNI Ventures - Claypond Capital and Sentinel Global joining as co-lead investors. Existing investors, including Khosla Ventures, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Lightspeed and Y Combinator, also participated. The latest funding brings Emergent’s total capital raised to $230 million and marks a fivefold increase in its valuation in just four months.

The company said more than 12 million applications have been built on its platform since launch by entrepreneurs, small businesses and non-technical users across the globe.

Founded in 2025, Emergent enables users to build full-stack, production-ready web and mobile applications using autonomous AI agents. The platform allows businesses to create custom software such as CRMs, ERPs, marketplaces, internal tools and customer-facing applications without requiring traditional software development expertise.

Commenting on the milestone, Mukund Jha, Co-founder and CEO, Emergent, said the company aims to make software development accessible to everyone, regardless of technical expertise.

“The real impact of the AI revolution will be the complete democratisation of who gets to build software, where they build it and how much it costs. We want to empower people with great ideas and deep domain expertise to create the software their businesses need without being limited by technical knowledge,” he said.

Jha added that nearly 70% of Emergent’s users have no prior coding experience, reflecting the growing demand for AI-powered software creation among entrepreneurs and small business owners.

“We built Emergent for non-technical entrepreneurs who need more flexibility than off-the-shelf software but don’t have access to engineering talent. Our platform enables them to build production-grade applications faster and at a fraction of the traditional cost,” he said.

Prakash Parthasarathy, Managing Partner, Creaegis, said the rise of autonomous AI platforms presents a transformative opportunity for small businesses.

“Small businesses today have a historic opportunity to build, automate and operate using autonomous platforms. Emergent is enabling entrepreneurs to embrace this shift by making production-grade software creation accessible without traditional barriers,” he said.

Emergent said the fresh capital will be used to further develop its AI platform and accelerate its mission of enabling entrepreneurs, founders and businesses to build custom software through autonomous AI agents. The company envisions a future where software development is driven by domain expertise rather than coding skills, allowing businesses to rapidly turn ideas into production-ready applications.
