Electric bicycle manufacturer EMotorad has partnered with Mercedes-Benz India to launch the official Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS electric bicycle range in India. Under the exclusive distribution and manufacturing partnership, EMotorad will locally assemble three different e-bike models.
As part of the agreement, EMotorad will also manage after-sales services, servicing and spare parts supply for the e-bikes across India. The products will be sold through select Mercedes-Benz dealerships, giving customers access to sales and service facilities within the luxury carmaker's existing retail network.
Kunal Gupta, Co-founder and CEO, EMotorad, said the three e-bikes in the range are unique globally. He added that partnerships such as this enable the company to bring advanced e-bike technology to the Indian market.
Santosh Iyer, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said the launch of AMG F1 PETRONAS e-bikes in India is a natural extension of the AMG brand. According to him, the premium e-bikes will allow AMG customers and enthusiasts to connect with the brand's DNA of performance, design and craftsmanship.
