Innovaccer, a healthtech unicorn, has announced the asset acquisition of CaduceusHealth, a long-established revenue cycle management (RCM) services provider based in the US. The move is aimed at strengthening Innovaccer’s capabilities in healthcare financial operations, particularly within its Flow suite, which focuses on ambulatory care workflows.

With this acquisition, Innovaccer said it is expanding Flow into a more comprehensive platform that integrates scheduling, patient engagement and end-to-end revenue cycle management. The company described the updated system as an AI-enabled operating layer designed to handle administrative and financial processes in a unified way for healthcare providers.

This is Innovaccer’s fifth acquisition to date and reflects its broader push into building an integrated AI-driven healthcare operations platform.

CaduceusHealth, founded in 1997, has spent nearly three decades working in medical billing, claims processing and denial management across a wide range of specialties and electronic health record systems. The company currently claims to support nearly 4,000 providers and manages approx USD 5 billion in gross patient charges annually.

By combining CaduceusHealth’s operational experience with Innovaccer’s AI infrastructure, the companies aim to blend traditional revenue cycle expertise with automation tools. The companies said this integration will allow healthcare organizations to reduce manual administrative effort while maintaining oversight from experienced billing professionals.

Abhinav Shashank, CEO and Co-founder of Innovaccer, said, “Every hour a billing team spends chasing a denial or reworking a rejected claim is time and money that should be going toward patients,” he said. “CaduceusHealth has spent nearly three decades building the operational rigor that makes revenue cycle AI actually work, and together we can put that capability in the hands of every provider in this country, regardless of size.”

Jim Bonomo, Founder and CEO of CaduceusHealth, said, “In revenue cycle, the difference between good and great comes down to knowing which payers push back on which codes, shifts in auth requirements, or which denials are worth fighting. We’ve built that knowledge over 30 years. Innovaccer’s AI platform lets us put it to work at a scale no managed services organisation could reach on its own.”

Innovaccer currently works with more than 200 health systems and payers across the United States, covering tens of millions of patients. The company positions Flow as part of its broader AI infrastructure strategy aimed at improving operational efficiency in healthcare organisations.
