JSW MG Motor India on Monday reported a 66 percent increase in its electric vehicle (EV) sales for FY26, reaching 62,591 units compared to 37,730 units in FY25, the company said in a statement.
In March, the company sold a total of 6,528 EV units, marking a 19 percent year-on-year increase. This consistent growth highlights the company’s strong presence in the EV market and growing consumer confidence.
According to JSW MG Motor India, the MG Windsor played a key role in driving this momentum, recording a 20 percent year-on-year growth in March. The company added that “MG Windsor continues to be India’s best-selling EV car.”
The company also noted that 70 percent of total Windsor sales come from non-metro cities, reflecting its strong appeal and suitability for smaller cities, while signaling a significant shift in traditional car-buying patterns toward electrification.
