Kamat Hotels India Ltd. (KHIL) is accelerating its expansion across key Indian destinations, supported by strong operating performance and a positive growth outlook. According to Executive Director Vishal Vithal Kamat, the company is aligning its strategy with the hospitality sector’s shift towards sustainability and destination-led growth.

KHIL is strengthening its presence in markets such as Goa, Hyderabad and Rishikesh, and is preparing to enter new locations in the coming months. Upcoming properties include The Orchid Dehradun, The Orchid Gwalior and The Orchid Temple View, Puri. The expansion is being driven by the company’s brands, The Orchid Hotels and IRA by Orchid Hotels, which cater to both business and leisure travellers.

The company reported a strong third quarter, with November recording particularly high performance across key markets. Destination-focused properties, including Orchid Rishikesh–Rishivan, Toyam, Fort Jadhavgarh and Orchid Passaros–Benaulim, Goa, have also seen healthy bookings for the New Year period.

In terms of revenue mix, The Orchid Hotels account for 61 per cent of revenues, followed by IRA by Orchid Hotels at 28 per cent, with the remaining 11 per cent coming from other hotels.

Financially, KHIL reported revenues of ₹158 crore in the first half of the year and is targeting ₹400 crore in FY26. The company expects growth momentum to continue through 2027, driven by new openings and operational efficiencies. Sustainability remains a key focus for KHIL. As India’s first ISO 14001-certified hotel chain, the group continues to emphasise eco-friendly design, energy-efficient operations and responsible luxury across its portfolio.
