Navi UPI today announced a partnership with IndusInd Bank to strengthen the technology infrastructure supporting its UPI operations. The partnership brings together IndusInd Bank’s banking capabilities and Navi’s technology expertise to strengthen and scale the foundation of Navi UPI as digital payments continue to grow.

From paying for a morning cup of tea to splitting a dinner bill or paying monthly bills, UPI has become an integral part of everyday life for millions of Indians. As the scale and adoption of digital payments continue to grow, the technology powering these transactions also needs to evolve alongside them.

New UPI Payment Switch to Strengthen Navi’s Technology Infrastructure

At the heart of the partnership is a new UPI payment switch, which helps process and route transactions between participants across the UPI ecosystem. The addition of the new switch will further diversify Navi UPI’s technology stack while enhancing its resilience and ability to scale as its payments business grows.

Commenting on the partnership, Rajiv Naresh, MD & CEO, Navi Limited, said, “We have always believed that a great digital financial experience is built on a combination of strong technology, thoughtful product design and a deep understanding of the customer. Our partnership with IndusInd Bank adds another important layer to our UPI capabilities that we hope strengthens the foundation for a more reliable and seamless UPI experience for our customers.”

“We value the trust and collaborative approach that the team at IndusInd Bank has brought to this partnership and look forward to building on our shared strengths as we continue to scale,” he added.

Partnership Aims to Support Secure and Scalable Digital Payments

Ganesh Sankaran, Executive Director, IndusInd Bank, said, “Our partnership with Navi UPI marks an important milestone, reflecting our shared focus on building resilient digital payment ecosystems. Behind every successful digital payment experience is robust and scalable infrastructure that customers can rely on every day.”

“We look forward to supporting Navi UPI as it continues to scale and deliver secure, reliable and frictionless payment experiences to its customers,” he added.

The partnership was announced at the Global Fintech Fest 2026 in Mumbai, where the two organisations formally marked the milestone.
