The Noida Power Company Limited (NPCL), which supplies electricity to Greater Noida, has commissioned a new electric vehicle (EV) charging plaza at Tilpata, significantly expanding public EV charging infrastructure in Gautam Buddh Nagar district.
Developed in collaboration with EV charging infrastructure company Servotech, the facility is the largest EV charging station in the district. Located on the 130-metre road at Tilpata, the plaza is designed to meet high-capacity charging needs and can simultaneously charge up to four electric buses. It features two high-speed charging points and four charging guns, with power outputs of 120 kW and 60 kW.
The charging plaza was inaugurated over the weekend by Dadri MLA Tejpal Nagar. It is expected to cater to nearby residential societies, industrial units, and commercial establishments, enhancing accessibility to fast and reliable EV charging in the area.
“With fast-charging technology, users can expect to fully charge four-wheelers in just 45 minutes to one hour. Slower charging options for two-wheelers and three-wheelers will also be available, and we plan to introduce a battery swapping facility in the future,” said Sarnath Ganguly, Vice President (Operations), NPCL.
Highlighting the environmental benefits, Tejpal Nagar said the new EV charging station would contribute to cleaner mobility in Greater Noida. “It not only promotes sustainable transportation but also strengthens the electric vehicle infrastructure in the region,” he said.
NPCL has been steadily expanding its EV charging network across Greater Noida. Earlier installations include charging stations near Expo Mart in Knowledge Park-2, Knowledge Park-3, and Alpha-1, each equipped with six charging points capable of supporting up to 12 vehicles simultaneously.
In addition to public charging stations, NPCL has also begun deploying EV charging points within residential societies. Installations have already been completed at Gaur City 7th Avenue and Ace Divino, while work is currently underway at Mahagun Mywoods and Unitech Horizon.
