RapidE, iGO Wise Launch Battery Swap Delivery Service

RapidE Power & Mobility Solutions and iGO Wise Mobility have announced a strategic partnership to launch a battery swap delivery service using the BeiGO X4 Rugged Utility Vehicle. The initiative aims to tackle challenges related to EV charging infrastructure and the high upfront costs of electric vehicle adoption.

Under the partnership, a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model will be introduced, where customers can access the service via a monthly subscription after completing an onboarding process and providing a security deposit. Batteries will be delivered to customer locations on a scheduled basis, eliminating the need for charging at home or the workplace.

The service will target both B2B and B2C segments, including fleet operators, last-mile delivery companies, and individual users. Operations will initially begin in Hyderabad and Bangalore, with plans to expand to Maharashtra and Odisha.

Sambit Patnaik, Founder and Director of RapidE Power, noted that the partnership expands the company’s portfolio from two-wheelers to three-wheelers and trikes. It also extends RapidE’s geographic presence to Bangalore, building on existing operations in Hyderabad and Nagpur, with future expansion planned for Bhubaneswar.

Sravan Appanna, CEO of iGO Wise Mobility, said the BeiGO X4 was designed for safety, comfort, and utility in urban environments. The vehicle’s stability is well-suited to RapidE’s delivery model, while its energy network makes it more cost-competitive compared to traditional petrol scooters.
