Peak XV Partners has announced a series of team updates as it looks to strengthen its investment approach amid growing interest in artificial intelligence-driven businesses.
The firm said Abhishek Mohan has been promoted to General Partner. Mohan joined the firm in 2018 and has been involved in building its consumer technology investment portfolio over the years. Saipriya Sarangan has been elevated to the role of Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for overseeing operations across the organisation.
Alongside these changes, Peak XV confirmed that it has mutually agreed to part ways with Ashish Agrawal. The firm stated that the decision followed discussions focused on the long-term interests of its limited partners and the organisation. Following Agrawal’s exit, Ishaan Mittal and Tejeshwi Sharma have also decided to leave the firm. Peak XV acknowledged the contributions of all three and said it wishes them well in their future professional paths.
The venture capital firm also indicated that it plans to expand its bench of AI-focused investors and strengthen its go-to-market capabilities. It recently completed its 80th investment in an AI-led company, reflecting a continued emphasis on the sector.
Formerly known as Sequoia Capital India & Southeast Asia, Peak XV Partners invests across India, Southeast Asia and other global markets. Over the past two decades, the firm has managed more than USD 10 billion across multiple funds and backed over 400 companies with several portfolio firms going public or completing mergers and acquisitions.
