The Gurugram-based firm plans to use the fresh capital to scale its technology infrastructure, enhance product offerings and accelerate user acquisition with a focus on expanding its artificial intelligence-led capabilities.

Legal tech startup Lawyered has raised USD 2.5 million in a pre-Series A funding round co-led by Rainmatter by Zerodha and Turbostart with participation from existing investor Finvolve. The Gurugram-based firm plans to use the fresh capital to scale its technology infrastructure, enhance product offerings and accelerate user acquisition with a focus on expanding its artificial intelligence-led capabilities.

The startup had previously secured INR 8.5 crore on the business reality show IdeaBaaz at a pre-money valuation of INR 120 crore. The earlier round saw participation from investors including Pawan Jaggi, Sandesh Sharda, Priyanka Salot and Arjun Vaidya.

Founded in 2018 by Himanshu Gupta, Lawyered operates as an AI-driven legal assistance platform focused on mobility-related services. Its key offerings include “LOTS247,” which provides roadside legal aid and “ChallanPay,” a solution for resolving traffic fines. The platform caters to vehicle owners, drivers and logistics businesses, aiming to address legal risks associated with mobility.

The company said it is building legal infrastructure designed to keep vehicles, fleets and businesses compliant by identifying and resolving risks before they escalate. This approach seeks to reduce financial strain, prevent downtime and provide greater certainty for users navigating legal requirements.

Legal services in India are often seen as fragmented and reactive. Lawyered’s use of generative AI is intended to shift this model toward a proactive system that integrates legal support into everyday operations. The startup also plans to expand beyond mobility into sectors such as finance, real estate, healthcare and e-commerce.

Lawyered claims to cover over 2 million vehicles and work with more than 800 businesses across India. Its platforms have resolved over 200,000 legal matters, helping users avoid penalties and downtime worth more than USD 6 million.
