Rosada, a premium kids’ lifestyle brand, has received an undisclosed strategic investment from actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra, marking its first external funding round. The investment signals the beginning of a partnership aimed at accelerating the brand’s expansion and strengthening its position in India’s premium children’s segment.

Founded in 2014 by Shalu and Bhupesh Agarwal, Rosada is a Kolkata-based direct-to-consumer brand focused on personalised and design-led products for babies and young children. Its portfolio includes backpacks, bedding sets, travel accessories, décor items and everyday essentials, all developed through in-house design and manufacturing processes.

The startup claims to have built its presence around quality and customisation, catering to modern parents seeking premium and personalised offerings. It has also gained visibility through a growing customer base that includes several well-known personalities. Its appearance on Shark Tank India Season 5 marked a key milestone, contributing to a significant rise in revenue.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra said, “What drew me to Rosada was straightforward: the product spoke for itself. The design sensibility, the quality of materials and the attention to detail make it stand out. As someone who has experienced it as a parent first, I am backing this with conviction.”

The founders see the investment as a step towards scaling the business further. Shalu Agarwal, Co-founder of Rosada, said, “Rosada has always been built with a clear focus on design and quality. This partnership strengthens our vision to expand and build a larger brand in this space.”
