The meeting was attended by School Education and Literacy Secretary Sanjay Kumar, CBSE Chairman Rahul Singh, Indian Institute of Technology Madras Director Prof. V. Kamakoti, the Director of Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, senior officials from the Ministry of Education and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. Representatives from State Bank of India, Indian Bank, Bank of Baroda and Canara Bank also participated in the meeting.
Emphasis on Quick Resolution of Students’ Problems
During the meeting, the Education Minister directed officials to ensure that all student-related issues are resolved in a timely, transparent and student-friendly manner. He said the government is committed to building an examination system that is fully transparent, accountable and student-centric. He also assured students and parents that every genuine concern would be resolved quickly and effectively.
The Union Minister also reviewed post-result services. This included strengthening student support systems, improving evaluation and monitoring processes, enhancing CBSE’s digital platforms and making examination-related services easier and faster for students.
It was informed during the meeting that around 18 lakh students appeared for the Class 12 examinations this year. Nearly 98 lakh answer sheets were evaluated, and around 40 crore pages were scanned. So far, nearly 4 lakh students have accessed around 11 lakh scanned answer sheets through the portal.
Preparation to Strengthen the Digital Education System
The Education Minister also stressed strengthening the digital education framework. He said that in the coming years, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced data monitoring systems will be increasingly used in examination and evaluation-related services to provide faster, more accurate and transparent services to students.
Along with this, the ministry also discussed plans to improve helpline and online support systems for students and parents. This will make services related to examinations, results, re-evaluation and documents simpler and more student-friendly.
Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that students’ interests are the government’s highest priority and that any form of negligence will not be tolerated. He clearly stated that strict action would be taken against any lapse within or outside the system.
Expert Team Formed to Resolve Portal Issues
The Education Minister also took note of issues faced by students on the post-examination service portal, including login difficulties, heavy server load and online payment problems. Taking these technical challenges seriously, an expert technical team has been formed.
This team, consisting of professors and digital system experts from Indian Institute of Technology Madras, will review the portal’s stability, server capacity, login management and payment gateway systems. The objective is to ensure uninterrupted, smooth and efficient online services for students.
The Ministry of Education also stated that it is closely monitoring the situation and all necessary steps will be taken to provide better digital services to students.
