VinFast has launched its new electric MPV, the VF MPV7, in India at a starting price of ₹24.49 lakh. The model is positioned as a family-focused offering, prioritising space, comfort, and electric mobility for the growing seven-seater segment.
Speaking at the launch, VinFast India CEO Tapan Kumar Ghosh said the vehicle is designed to deliver a complete ownership experience beyond just the product. The MPV features theatre-style seating and a usable third row, addressing key requirements of Indian family buyers.
Built on a 2,840 mm wheelbase, the VF MPV7 offers up to 1,240 litres of luggage capacity. It delivers a claimed range of 517 km on a single charge and supports fast charging from 10% to 70% in 30 minutes. Premium features include 19-inch alloy wheels and full-LED lighting.
To ease EV adoption, VinFast has introduced several customer-centric initiatives. The company has partnered with PayGreen to offer free charging until March 31, 2029. It has also launched an ICE-to-EV exchange scheme and a value assurance programme with a buyback commitment of up to 75%.
The VF MPV7 comes with a comprehensive ownership package, including a 10-year battery warranty, a 7-year vehicle warranty, 3 years of free maintenance, and roadside assistance for up to 7 years.
As part of its India expansion strategy, VinFast has increased its showroom network from 35 in 2025 to 50 currently, with plans to reach 75 touchpoints by the end of 2026. The company is also aiming to establish over 230 service points nationwide.
At its price point, the VF MPV7 competes with models like the Toyota Innova Hycross and Kia Carens, targeting buyers looking to transition to electric mobility without paying a significant premium over conventional MPVs.
