Wyndham Grand Launches Luxe Lakeside Resort in Udaipur

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has unveiled the Wyndham Grand Udaipur Fatehsagar Lake a sweeping new luxury retreat that brings a fresh landmark to Rajasthan’s famed City of Lakes. Set across 26 acres against the dramatic Aravalli mountains and a short walk from Fatehsagar Lake, the property expands Wyndham Grand’s global portfolio of premium hotels while positioning itself as a prime destination for weddings, celebrations and high-end escapes.

The resort’s debut last week drew an elegant crowd of industry leaders, tastemakers, and local dignitaries. Guests arrived to a traditional Rajasthani welcome featuring a shower of flower petals, ceremonial tika and pag. As dusk settled, festivities unfolded with energetic Kachi Ghodi dancers, folk tunes played on the algoza and kamaycha and live culinary counters showcasing regional flavours an atmosphere that firmly rooted the opening in Udaipur’s vibrant cultural heritage.

Rahool Macarius, Market Managing Director Eurasia, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, called the launch a ‘Defining Milestone’ for the company’s India strategy. “Udaipur is one of the world’s most iconic luxury and wedding destinations” he said adding that the new property blends Rajasthan’s timeless charm with Wyndham’s global standards to deliver elevated experiences for domestic and international travelers.

Inside, the resort draws inspiration from Udaipur’s royal architecture while incorporating modern comforts. Its 140 guestrooms and suites feature elements such as Gokhda-style sit-outs, marble bathrooms, and whirlpool tubs in select rooms. A forthcoming Palace Wing will add 60 more rooms, bringing an added layer of heritage-inspired luxury. As a fully vegetarian resort, it highlights Indian and international cuisine at Pyaala, Shakahari and O Sian, emphasizing fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Designed to accommodate gatherings of all sizes, the resort offers Udaipur’s largest amphitheater, a grand ballroom and a sprawling Vintage Lawn capable of hosting thousands. Guests can enjoy a heated outdoor pool, Zivaya Spa, and courts for tennis, basketball, cricket, volleyball and badminton. Butler services, childcare support a bridal studio and EV charging stations round out the offerings.
