Electric commercial vehicle manufacturer Youdha unveiled the limited-edition EPOD-Bharat electric three-wheeler at the Bharat Vyapar Mahotsav held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on August 17, 2026. The special variant features a hand-painted exterior inspired by traditional Warli Art associated with Maharashtra’s Sahyadri region, depicting themes of women, rural life, nature and community.
The EPOD-Bharat is based on Youdha’s existing L5 electric passenger three-wheeler platform. It is powered by a 6 kW electric motor generating 50 Nm of torque and gets an 11.8 kWh lithium-ion LFP battery. According to the company, the vehicle offers a certified range of 227 km on a single charge and comes with City and Boost driving modes, along with a 300 mm water-wading capacity.
The standard EPOD starts at ₹3.20 lakh and is primarily targeted at self-employed drivers and small mobility businesses. With its long driving range, dual driving modes and electric powertrain, Youdha is positioning the vehicle as a lower operating-cost alternative for commercial operators compared with petrol and CNG-powered vehicles.
The EPOD is manufactured at Youdha’s plant in Kashipur, Uttarakhand, which has an annual production capacity of one lakh units. The facility features automated assembly lines, end-of-line testing and quality control infrastructure. Ayush Lohia, CEO, Youdha, said EPOD-Bharat is dedicated to Indian women and artisans and aims to bring traditional Indian art to a modern electric mobility platform.
The EPOD-Bharat is a limited-edition model and does not represent a change to Youdha’s standard EPOD lineup. India’s electric three-wheeler segment continues to expand, supported by rising fuel costs, government incentives and growing demand for last-mile passenger and cargo mobility. Youdha operates across both passenger and cargo electric vehicle segments.
