AMP Launches India’s First Electric Car Subscription Platform
Electric mobility start-up AMP has launched India’s first EV car subscription platform, offering salaried professionals access to premium electric cars like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, BYD, Audi, and Volvo without ownership.

Electric mobility start-up AMP has unveiled India’s first electric vehicle (EV) car subscription platform — an asset-light, technology-driven model that allows salaried professionals to use premium EVs without buying them. The platform features luxury electric vehicles from global brands such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, BYD, Audi, and Volvo.

According to the company, the model is designed to overcome common barriers to EV ownership, including high upfront costs, limited range, and lack of a secondary market. AMP’s subscription framework enables users to enjoy long-term vehicle access while avoiding the expenses of maintenance, depreciation, and financing.

For small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), AMP has introduced an innovative financial model that converts depreciating vehicle assets into annuity-based income, offering new revenue opportunities.

Bharat Bala, Builder and Chief Electric Officer of AMP, said, “Owning a car once symbolized success, but today, aspiration is about freedom and flexibility. AMP aims to make premium electric mobility affordable and accessible—without the burden of ownership.”

AMP has begun its operations in the National Capital Region (NCR) and plans to deploy 300 premium EVs within the next 12 months. Over the next five years, the company intends to expand to five additional regions across India. The firm believes that government policy support, rising ESG priorities, and shifting consumer preferences are creating a strong foundation for accelerated EV adoption in the country.
