The Ministry of Education has launched the “Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camp 2026” across schools nationwide from May 13 to promote Indian languages, cultures and new forms of communication among students.

To promote India’s linguistic and cultural diversity,The Ministry of Education has launched the “Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camp 2026” across schools nationwide from May 13 to promote Indian languages, cultures and new forms of communication among students. According to the ministry, the initiative will encourage multilingual learning among students while strengthening their connection and respect for Indian languages.

NEP 2020 Vision to Get a Major Boost

Officials stated that the programme aligns with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which places strong emphasis on multilingual education and the preservation of India’s linguistic heritage. The Ministry of Education believes that exposure to multiple languages at an early age helps strengthen students’ learning abilities, creative thinking and social understanding.
