Bijliride Launches FOFO Franchise Model for EV Expansion
Bijliride has launched a Franchise-Owned, Franchise-Operated (FOFO) model to expand its electric two-wheeler rental network across major Indian cities. The initiative aims to empower local entrepreneurs while deploying 5,000 EVs nationwide by FY2026.

Bijliride, India’s leading SaaS-powered electric two-wheeler rental platform, has announced the launch of its Franchise-Owned, Franchise-Operated (FOFO) expansion model, marking a significant step toward democratizing electric vehicle (EV) entrepreneurship in the country. Under this initiative, the company plans to expand its franchise presence across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi NCR, with a target to onboard more than 20 franchise partners and deploy 5,000 electric two-wheelers nationwide by FY2026.

The FOFO model is designed to empower local entrepreneurs, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and mobility operators by enabling them to participate directly in the rapidly growing EV ecosystem. At the same time, it allows Bijliride to scale its operations in a capital-efficient and community-driven manner. Franchise partners gain access to Bijliride’s proprietary fleet management technology, along with end-to-end marketing, branding and operational support.

Backed by strategic tie-ups with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and financial institutions, the model simplifies vehicle procurement and financing for partners. Tailored for small business owners, fleet operators and first-time EV entrepreneurs, the franchise offering presents a ready-to-run, future-ready business opportunity with transparent operations and sustainable profitability potential.

Under the structure, Bijliride follows a 70:30 profit-sharing arrangement with its franchise partners. With an initial investment of ₹14–16 lakh for a 50-vehicle fleet, franchisees can expect to achieve breakeven within approximately 13 months of consistent operations. While Bijliride manages technology, lead generation and brand consistency, franchise owners are responsible for local operations, fleet performance and customer engagement, creating a scalable ecosystem driven by shared growth.

Commenting on the launch, Shivam Sisodiya, CEO and Co-Founder of Bijliride, said the company’s vision has always been to make electric mobility scalable, profitable and inclusive. He added that the franchise model opens new opportunities for local business owners to actively participate in the EV revolution, supported by Bijliride’s brand strength, digital ecosystem and operational expertise.

With the introduction of the FOFO model, Bijliride aims to build a decentralised, inclusive and sustainable mobility network across India. The initiative reinforces the company’s long-term commitment to accelerating EV adoption, fostering local entrepreneurship and shaping a cleaner, smarter future for urban mobility.
