Homegrown quick service restaurant chain Burger Singh has closed its Series B funding round at INR 82 crore (nearly USD 9 million), achieving a valuation of INR 520 crore (USD 56 million). The round was led by Artal Asia Pte Ltd with participation from investors including Negen Undiscovered Value Fund and Aurum Rising India Fund, among others.

The Gurugram-based company said it will deploy the fresh capital to strengthen its systems, processes and infrastructure with a focus on building a scalable franchise-first restaurant platform.

“India has no shortage of entrepreneurs. What it lacks is enough high-quality operating platforms that allow those entrepreneurs to succeed in the restaurant business at scale. That is the gap we are solving,” said Kabir Jeet Singh, founder and CEO of Burger Singh.

Founded in 2014 by Kabir Jeet Singh, Nitin Rana and Rahul Seth, Burger Singh has built a niche with its Indianised burger offerings such as Udta Punjab and Chunky Paneer Pandey, alongside fries, momos and beverages. The chain operates through dine-in, takeaway and delivery formats.

The company currently runs over 200 outlets across more than 75 cities, including major urban centres and smaller towns. It follows a hybrid model of company-owned and franchise-led stores and aims to expand its footprint to over 1,000 outlets by 2026.

Financially, Burger Singh reported a 50% year-on-year revenue growth to INR 117 crore in FY25 from INR 78 crore in FY24. Its net losses also narrowed significantly by 86% to INR 3.86 crore during the same period.

Burger Singh competes with global chains such as McDonald’s, Burger King and Wendy’s, as well as domestic players like Jumboking and Wat-a-Burger.
