21% growth in enrolments
During this 20-day period, PhysicsWallah recorded around 4.39 lakh (439,000) new enrolments, which is 21% higher than last year. A key highlight is that these enrolments came from 1,579 new pin code areas across the country, indicating the company’s rapid expansion into smaller cities and rural regions. The company stated that most course categories witnessed a growth of over 30% during this period, reflecting increasing trust and demand among students.
Additionally, courses related to State Boards saw a massive 178% growth, while vernacular (regional language) batches recorded a 100% increase. This indicates that students are increasingly preferring education in their native languages and the company is expanding accordingly in this direction.
Importance of ‘Vishwas Diwas’
‘Vishwas Diwas’ is organized annually, during which PhysicsWallah officially launches its new academic session. During this period, the company introduces new batches, integrates new technologies and offers new learning programs and facilities for students.
On this occasion, the company’s co-founder Prateek Maheshwari said that the strong response received during ‘Vishwas Diwas’ has further strengthened their confidence in the company’s future growth. He added that with better enrolments, a strong start, and improving unit economics, the company is entering the new academic year with confidence.
