Electric commercial vehicle manufacturer Euler Motors has commissioned a new dedicated production line for four-wheeler cargo electric vehicles at its manufacturing facility in Palwal, Haryana. The company has invested around ₹100 crore in the expansion. The new production line was inaugurated by Dr. Pawan Munjal, Executive Chairman of Hero MotoCorp and strategic investor in Euler Motors.
Spread across 40 acres, the expanded facility has increased Euler Motors’ total annual manufacturing capacity to 24,000 vehicles. According to the company, the new production line will manufacture its one-tonne electric truck, Turbo EV 1000, and the ADAS-equipped Storm EV.
At full capacity, the Palwal facility will operate across two shifts along with an additional hybrid shift. The plant features an automated four-wheeler assembly conveyor line, dedicated body shops and in-house battery pack assembly lines.
Euler Motors said its manufacturing process includes multiple levels of testing for suspension frames, drivetrains and battery packs. These tests cover thermal, vibration and drop-abuse conditions to ensure vehicle and component reliability.
Dr. Pawan Munjal, Executive Chairman of Hero MotoCorp, said the strategic investment in Euler Motors reflects confidence in the company’s vision and capabilities. He added that the expansion of the Palwal facility with a dedicated four-wheeler production line is not only about increasing manufacturing capacity but also about contributing to the future of India’s commercial mobility.
According to Euler Motors, monthly deliveries of its four-wheeler electric commercial vehicle portfolio increased from around 40 units in April last year to nearly 800 units in June this year.
The company said that within 10 months of its launch, the Turbo EV 1000 helped increase EV penetration in the one-tonne four-wheeler cargo segment from around 1% to 5.8%. Euler Motors currently holds an estimated 28% market share in the segment.
The company said the additional production capacity will help meet growing demand for electric commercial vehicles and support the expansion of its four-wheeler cargo portfolio.
