Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Simple Energy has revealed the name of its upcoming family scooter, Simple Wave, which is scheduled to be officially launched on September 2, 2026. With the new scooter, the company will enter India largest scooter segment.
According to Simple Energy, Simple Wave has been developed for everyday family mobility, combining the company engineering-first philosophy with a focus on comfort, practicality and shared journeys.
The company said the name Simple Wave is inspired by nature and the concept of effortless movement. It draws from the movement of dolphins and hydrodynamic principles, representing smooth and natural motion.
The name also reflects effortless mobility across urban environments, togetherness and connection among families and communities, as well as inclusivity for riders across different age groups and lifestyles.
Simple Wave has been developed through years of in-house research and engineering. Simple Energy’s R&D capabilities cover proprietary software, vehicle technologies and advanced engineering solutions, with the company focusing on developing critical technologies in-house.
According to Simple Energy, its engineering-led approach has enabled it to become the first Indian OEM to commercially manufacture heavy rare earth-free electric motors.
With Simple Wave, the company aims to bring its engineering capabilities to a broader customer base and the everyday family mobility segment. Simple Energy will officially unveil the scooter at its launch event on September 2, 2026.
