E-commerce marketplace Flipkart has launched ‘EV Assist’, a digital marketplace designed to improve access to electric vehicles for its delivery partners and support the electrification of its logistics operations. The platform enables delivery executives to explore electric two-wheeler rental options based on their location and budget preferences.
According to the company, EV Assist is currently available to delivery partners associated with Flipkart Minutes across more than 20 cities. Through the platform, users can compare electric vehicles across various weekly rental plans and directly connect with mobility providers for onboarding and vehicle allocation.
Rajneesh Kumar, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Flipkart Group, said that providing millions of delivery partners with a simpler and more affordable path to electric mobility can create an impact that extends beyond the company’s own operations and contributes to broader sustainable transportation goals.
Flipkart stated that its electric vehicle fleet has more than doubled over the past year and surpassed 20,000 vehicles during the 2025 festive season. The company has set an ambitious target of achieving 100% electric mobility across its logistics operations by 2030.
A survey conducted by Flipkart among more than 6,000 delivery partners revealed that 46% are willing to switch to electric mobility. However, challenges such as limited financing options, inadequate charging infrastructure, and concerns about the wider EV ecosystem continue to hinder adoption. The survey also found that nearly 90% of respondents spend between ₹2,000 and ₹5,000 per month on petrol.
The EV Assist platform has been developed to address some of these barriers by aggregating rental options from multiple mobility providers. Vehicle servicing and maintenance responsibilities will be handled by partner companies, reducing ownership-related burdens for delivery personnel.
Available in English, Hindi, Bengali, and Kannada, the platform has already witnessed encouraging early adoption in regions including Delhi-NCR, Patna, and Bengaluru, according to the company.
