Hero MotoCorp has launched the Vida VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh electric scooter, offering an IDC-certified range of 187 km, dual removable batteries and fast-charging capability.

Hero MotoCorp has expanded its electric mobility portfolio with the launch of the Vida VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh electric scooter. The new variant is priced at an effective 1.43 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), taking the Vida VX2 lineup to four battery and performance variants.

The new VX2 Plus is powered by a 4.4 kWh battery pack, comprising two 2.2 kWh removable lithium-ion batteries. According to the company, the scooter delivers an IDC-certified range of 187 km on a single charge. Using the 1 kW portable charger, the battery can be charged from 0 to 80% in 3 hours and 30 minutes, while a DC fast charger can achieve the same charge level in just 65 minutes.

The scooter is equipped with a 6 kW peak power electric motor producing 26 Nm of torque, enabling a top speed of 90 km/h. It offers Eco, Ride and Sport riding modes and comes loaded with features such as a 4.3-inch TFT display, smartphone connectivity, over-the-air (OTA) updates, turn-by-turn navigation, 27.2 litres of under-seat storage, and a Combined Braking System (CBS).

Hero MotoCorp said the Vida ecosystem is supported by a nationwide network of more than 6,000 fast-charging stations and 700 service touchpoints. Customers will also have the option to choose the company's Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) ownership model for added flexibility.

Kausalya Nandakumar, Chief Business Officer of the Emerging Mobility Business Unit at Hero MotoCorp, said the company's multi-variant strategy is designed to offer customers a wider choice of range options and flexible battery ownership plans.

Ahead of its commercial launch, the pre-production Vida VX2 Plus entered the Asia Book of Records after completing a 12,111 km cross-country journey in 52 days, setting a record for the longest electric scooter ride. Hero MotoCorp said deliveries of the new model will begin across its authorised dealership network by the end of July 2026.
