InspeCity Raises INR 100 Cr in Pre-Series A Funding
InspeCity raises INR 100 Crore pre-Series A led by Speciale Invest, Ashish Kacholia to fund four in-orbit servicing missions.

InspeCity, an Indian space technology company building platforms for in-space servicing, mobility and satellite life-extension, has raised INR 100 crore (approximately USD 10.5 million) in a pre-Series A round. The round was led by Speciale Invest and Ashish Kacholia with participation from Antler Elevate, Antler India, Manish Gandhi, Shastra VC, and others.

Founded in 2022, InspeCity works on an architecture called VEDA (Vehicle for life-Extension and Deorbiting Activities), built on four core technologies: GITA for propulsion and mobility, CHAKSU for sensing and navigation, RAMA for robotic manipulation and SPARSH for docking and in-orbit propellant transfer. These form the basis of its orbital platforms -RIG, VEDA and SAMA.

The funding will support four in-orbit missions over the next 12-18 months across the RIG-X, VEDA-X and SAMA-X mission roadmap, validating propulsion, sensing, autonomous operations, robotics, docking and refuelling capabilities in space. InspeCity will also scale commercial deployment of its GITA propulsion systems and RIG-based offerings and expand its engineering and manufacturing teams.

InspeCity’s technology has been supported by India’s iDEX programme under the defence and space innovation ecosystem.

“This round marks our transition from proving technologies individually to qualifying an integrated architecture in space and putting it to work for customers,” said Prof. Arindrajit Chowdhury, Founder and CEO, InspeCity. “Satellite life-extension is the first major problem we are solving, but the ability to inspect, approach, dock with manipulate, refuel and maintain spacecraft is foundational to a much larger in-space economy.”
